Prof. Quick started his professional carrier
after finishing his studies at the University of Technology
Darmstadt, Germany, as a graduated civil engineer in 1981.
After some years of experience as a geotechnical engineer
in several offices and at last as managing director, Prof.
Quick was registered as “Consulting Engineer”
in the Chamber of Commerce. In 1993 he started with his own
engineering office.
Prof. Quick conducts approval works for German
Authorities and for the Federal Railway Office in the fields
of Earthworks and Ground Engineering, Rock Mechanics and Tunnelling
as well as Environmental Engineering. He is publicly appointed
and sworn expert of the Chamber of Commerce for Earthworks,
Foundation Engineering, Soil- and Rock Mechanics.
Besides several national institutions in Germany Prof. Quick
is member of the

Prof. Quick has provided numerous publications and presentations
in his special fields.
During the past years geotechnical, tunnelling and environmental
consultancy in Germany and abroad was conducted by Prof. Quick
and his team for the following tasks:
High-Speed Railway Lines with an entire
length of about 700 km
30 Tunnels (entire length approx. 85 km),
120 km Dams, 100 km Cuts and 25 Bridges
30 High-Rise Building Foundations and Pits
Magnetic Levitation Line (MagLev, Transrapid)
Munich Main Station-Airport
In addition Prof. Quick provided geotechnical consultancy
for the Parliament and Government district in
Berlin, for the construction of several sport arenas as well
as environmental consultancy for landfills and industrial
sites .
World-wide consultancy activities of Prof.
Quick are provided e. g. in Austria, China, India, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Poland,
Qatar, Russia, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, United
Arabian Emirates and Vietnam. |
